AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

After School I
Kindergarten to 1st Grade
Currently Not Available

 

Scheduled from 12pm-3:30pm. Minimum attendance 3 afternoons, maximum attendance 5 afternoons. Maximum of 10 students per class. 1 teacher and 1 assistant for both after school classes.

 

This level of curriculum is for students in our Rainbow Class or in a Kindergarten Spanish Class. Academically we will work on:

  • Numbers 11-20

  • Addition, subtraction, small fractions - ¼ and more.

  • All consonants and vowels starting with phrases and then ending with sentences.

  • Emphasis on reading short stories.

  • Learning the proper use of demonstrative adjectives, definite articles, adjectives to indicate inherent, innate or essential characteristics, etc. : El, la, los, las, son, es, ese, esa, esto, eso, esas, etc.

  • We also have art, science, cooking, theater, storytelling, music, etc.

  • Our After School I Class will participate in our December Show and also in our End of Year Show.

Cooking + Science Class I
Kindergarten to 4th Grade
WEDNESDAYS - CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE

 

Scheduled from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Minimum attendance one Wednesday per week depending on our cooking science calendar. Some months will have less classes than others.  The fee is $22 per given class. Maximum of 12 students per class. 1 teacher and 1 assistant.

 

This class is for students in Kindergarten to 4th Grade. We spend our hour mixing and making mostly raw, healthy foods such as raw carrot cupcakes, vegan, gluten-free black bean brownies, dairy free ice cream, vegetarian burritos and much more fun food.


You won’t believe how much your child will learn from cooking beyond measuring and recipes, they also learn fine motor skills, healthy eating habits, vocabulary and science.  

 

Our MSV Cooking Class is a great option for our students to practice their Spanish while actively working on their cooking skills.

Cooking + Science Class II
Kindergarten to 4th Grade
THURSDAYS - ONLY 2 SPOTS AVAILABLE

 

Scheduled from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Minimum attendance one THURSDAY per week depending on our cooking science calendar. Some months will have less classes than others.  The fee is $27 per given class. Maximum of 10 students per class. 1 teacher and 1 assistant.

 

This class age is for students currently  preschool to Kindergarten . We spend our hour mixing and making mostly raw, healthy foods such as raw carrot cupcakes, vegan, gluten-free black bean brownies, dairy free ice cream, vegetarian burritos and much more fun food.

Sewing & Building My Teddy Bear Classes - 
Kindergarten to 4th Grade

Scheduled from 3:30pm to 4:45pm. Minimum attendance one Thursday per week depending on our after school  calendar. Some months will have less classes than others.  The fee is $27 per given class. Maximum of 10 students per class. 1 teacher and 1 assistant.

 

This class is for students in Kindergarten to 4th Grade. We spend our hour and 15 minutes learning basic sewing skills that our grandmothers and mothers used to teach us. We will build our very own Teddy Bear to also make a lovely wardrobe for him/her. The class is designed for boys and girls.


It is amazing how much your child will learn from making patterns, using a thread and needle, cutting fabrics, matching colors, decorating outfits and more.  

 

Our MSV sewing class is a great option for our students to practice their Spanish while actively working on their sewing skills.

Beginning Ceramics Classes 
Kindergarten to 4th Grade
FRIDAYS - 3 SPOTS AVAILABLE

 

Scheduled from 3:30pm to 4:45pm. Minimum attendance one Friday per week depending on our after school calendar. Some months will have less classes than others.  The fee is $27 per given class. Maximum of 8 students per class. 1 teacher and 1 assistant.

 

This class is for students in Kindergarten to 4th Grade. We spend our hour and 15 minutes learning basic hand building and throwing skills. We will build many different pots from pinching pots to bowls and many other more.


Our students will be engaged in the amazing clay world and the diversity of techniques and rewarding experiences by attending our class.

 

Our MSV ceramic class is a great option for our students to practice their Spanish while actively working on their clay building skills.
