Especially for the last week of February, we asked parents to send their children to school with old clothes and shoes, since they will get very muddy gardening and having fun!

Gardening is a very interesting project for children, they enjoy it year after year at MSV.  Besides being an enriching experience in regards to: cause and effect, climatic changes, development of living organisms, responsibilities, individuality and teamwork, above all, we learn the marvels of nature.

With our aid and hard work, our seeds will grow and become flowers and grown plants. WOW!

On our recent field trip to Sienna Ranch Farm, we explored how animals are raised and food is grown in order for city children to understand and connect with their food source.

By learning how a farm functions, our students experienced the natural world in a new way by making a vital connection between the social, ecological, and economic importance of agriculture in their lives.

I must confess, it was a really fun field trip! Parents, students and teachers alike enjoyed the fresh air, friendly farm animals and a great hostess.  Thanks Sienna Ranch Team!
