We recently took the kids on a super fun walking adventure to the Walnut Creek Library. On our way to the library, we trekked across City Hall to see the many different community workers that serve the public.  The theme of the month for May was community workers.  We have been teaching the students the many roles in public service such as police officer, firefighters and many more.  It was fun to see them all in action on our way to the library.

Then on May 21st we went to LAS MONTAÑAS supermarket where the Hispanic workers taught us about their different jobs.  The students found the visit to the bakery very interesting and enjoyed watching the baker make breads and tortillas. At the end of the visit, we purchased some fresh fruit and our hostess was kind enough to share taquitos and horchata drinks with us… delicious!

Thanks again LA MONTAÑAS Supermarket!!

Every year we offer the opportunity for more children from our community to learn Spanish while having fun in the sun at our Summer Camps. Children ages 18 months to 12 years old are able to come and enjoy learning science, art, crafts and cooking all in 100% Spanish.  We also include plenty of outside play time with our gardening, sand and pool play!

Our July Summer Camp will be from July 6th to July 29th and our August Summer Camp is July 30th to August 21st.  Students from 18 months to entry Kindergarten can join our July, August or both July and August full month camps.  Students Kindergarten and up can choose a weekly camp.  For more details about summer camp and the weekly schedule of events click here

On May 8th we had our Mother’s Day Tea Party celebration.  Moms and important loved ones came to the school to enjoy tea and breakfast with their little ones.  The children honored their mamas with adorable hand-made cards, presents, cupcakes and even wrapping paper!

Each class also performed and sang sweet songs to their moms.  There was a lot of smiles, hugs and love at our Mother's Day event.  We hope all that attended enjoyed the special time with their children.
