We have developed our own Spanish Preschool, Kindergarten, and Primary School Immersion Program with instruction in 100% Spanish and a daily age appropriate curriculum. We believe that a bilingual education is both possible and enjoyable when approached with enthusiasm, energy and a fun attitude.

Classes are kept very small to ensure that each student gets the attention he or she deserves in a fully immersed program. Our academic program was developed with the ultimate goal of instilling basic reading, writing and math skills by age 5. MSV also provides a strong foundation for learning both socially and academically which will help your child succeed in elementary school. For us, preschool and kindergarten are an opportunity for growth and the foundation to prepare the children for future school years and lifelong experiences.
Our environment is structured and designed to teach real life skills. Here our students get to make many choices. They learn to take care of themselves and take care of others. They learn to respect their environment, nature and each other.
We nurture a child's curiosity and promote language, fine-gross motor skills and cognitive skills. Furthermore, we provide a variety of extracurricular classes during the year such as: ballet, karate, sports, art, gymnastics, Hispanic traditional dances and more.
Our Philosophy & Values
At My Spanish Village, we work to go beyond just teaching another language. We also want our students to grow and develop as healthy, kind human beings. We created our own methodology to ensure that each child develops at his or her own pace. We respect the child’s aptitudes along the way in order to ensure that your child achieves normal physical, emotional, social, cultural and cognitive development. We consider it crucial that the first formal academic experience is a happy experience and one that your child can build upon in life.
This means that, although MSV’s focus is on intellectual/cognitive and social/emotional development, we also give great importance to the cultural and physical aspects of education. We conduct international festivals where the children learn about other countries and Spanish speaking cultures. We also establish a daily routine filled with interesting and fun activities.
At My Spanish Village our philosophy is to be dedicated to making sure students grow in all areas of human development. We know that when they leave MSV, it is with a solid base for the future. Our students develop enough skills to help them to shape their life journey such as: asking questions, solving problems, finding passion, independence, compassion, tolerance, dealing with change, being happy in their own and maintaining open minds.

About Us
Ita Perez was born and raised in Trujillo, Peru. She has a vast knowledge in Early Childhood Development and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in that field from the Antenor Orrego Private University in Trujillo. Due to her passion for teaching and educating, she naturally became a teacher for many years and gained plenty of experience in the field. Ita founded My Spanish Village as a passion project in 2006, starting as a small family daycare in Walnut Creek. Later expanding to a large family daycare center in St. Paul's Episcopal Church in downtown Walnut Creek.
It fulfilled her lifelong dream of owning her very own preschool. Her first goal was to create a unique, different and special place where children would feel transported to a magical space. Where learning would be super fun, where they could express themselves in many different ways, and explore. A place where they would feel loved, heard, important, and that they belonged. Where diversity would be a natural status, learning another language would feel organic and a place that lights their first fire for learning. A passion that will stay forever in the hearts of each child after their journey at MSV.
My Spanish Village is now a licensed preschool and Kindergarten center in a colorful space where children learn both the Spanish language and culture. All of our teachers have experience from their native Spanish speaking countries, as well as the necessary ECE (Early Childhood Education) credentials needed to work in the State of California.
My Spanish Village is licensed to have a maximum capacity of 59 students in attendance at any given time in each facility – always in an environment of Real Spanish, Real Immersion, and Real Academics. We service areas such as: Walnut Creek, Oakland, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon, Hayward, Berkeley, San Leandro, Alamo, Concord, Lafayette, Danville, Martinez, Pleasanton, San Francisco.
