  • Encourages thinking and problem solving, positive behavior and resilience. What we are really trying to teach our students are: Life skills like: be meaningful, be able to cope with different emotions; develop awareness, and be respectful with their peers, adults & environment.

  • In this level our students are writing and reading: syllables, words, phrases and finally small sentences in Spanish. Our kindergarteners focus on school readiness by introducing children to specific academic subjects through teacher instruction and lively participation. The balance of teacher directed and student directed activities throughout the day is designed to instill a love of learning. Phonics, blending, decoding, sight words, journal writing, spelling tests, and story comprehension are all part of our Spanish language arts program and dramatic play.

  • We introduce math concepts by gradually writing and reading numbers 11 to 20 (recognition of symbol and quantity belonging), addition, subtraction & small fractions. Math concepts are taught and explored with manipulates and then reinforced through workbooks. Weekly science experiments are directly related to the phonics as are music and movement.

  • We introduce for first time the seasons, plus continue working on days of the week and months.

  • We encourage a good pronunciation, fluidity and improving advanced vocabulary in the Spanish language.

  • We continue supporting our students to develop a good self teem having a sense of belonging, believing that they are capable, and letting they know that their contributions are important and valued by complementing the good actions and treating all our students with love and respect.

  • We continue developing independence by having their own box of supplies, opening their own lunch boxes, saving the leftovers and putting their belongings in the class box belongings also by helping the teachers “supervising” the younger students during special occasions such as: the school performances & fiestas”, also the teachers will facilitate the students to develop self reliance in taking care of his/her personal needs.

  • We support our student’s physical development by having gymnastics and dance twice a week.

  • This level is the best option for students to complete our Curriculum and graduate MSV with a strong root and foundation in the Spanish language.
